CX/TX Competition Last – With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last.

The upper is segmented into 6 independent zones for the most flexible fit to accommodate narrow or wide feet as well as high instep and low instep feet.

I have wide crazy feet. These are amazing!

I shopped the mainstream shoe brands and nothing was wide enough. I have wide feet and a bunion so it’s a challenge. I reached out to an expert bike fitter and he said Lake was the only brand to buy. I traced my foot, measured, scanned and sent it to them. The fit was perfect and my feet are thankful. These are not cheap but your feet will love you!

CX242 Wide

I am very pleased with my chose of Lake Cycling Shoes.
The CX242 Wide has a very wide toe bed which accommodates my bunions.
I was getting severe hot spots under my feet.
Garrett was quick to answer any of my questions. I was very impressed with the turnaround time in responding to my many emails.
I am very satisfied with the overall service I received.

Finally shoes for my Feet

I was coming from a running background, I never had problem finding shoes.
But when I started cycling, I had troubles during the last 10 years:
- numbness in middle toe, and hurting badly after 30 min ride
- morton's neuroma (both feet)
After couple professional fit, I was redirect to wide shoes and othopedic insole.
Many dollars later (Wide shoes from german company and orthopedic insoles because of high arch) situation get better (no more neuroma), but numbness was still there but starting later around 90min ride.
With 242 wide, I have this extra-more room in width and I can ride with the basic insoles without any problem.... game changer !
Also, theses shoes are a step above in quality and confort !

Love the new style of the 242 wides

Hi there,
I'm a current owner of the CX-238X and have been loving them. I was recently diagnosed with big toe arthritis and was looking for a new shoe that gave some adjustability where needed. The older 241's I was not a fan of but these new 242's have a wider toe box and allow the adjustments I need to cycle pain free in the foot. Thank you Lake shoes and Garrett for helping me again.
I love Lake Shoes.

Garrett is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to bike shoe fitting. The process used to measure your feet is fail safe. Shoes fit like a glove and have resolved the hot spots I experienced with many other brands of cycling shoes. I highly recommend Lake shoes for the cyclist that’s looking for comfort and support from a renowned company.
