CX/TX Competition Last – With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. The main differences include increased toe pitch & heel lift, a tighter heel & a slightly wider ball girth to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures.

Real slippers!

I've had SPD shoes for over 25 years and this is the first time I've found shoes that are really designed for wide feet. No numbness or pressure points. I made the purchase online by following the instructions to determine the size and, before ordering, I validated my choice with the staff of Lake Shoes. Their advice was very helpful and the result is simply perfect. After a month of use, I am confident in the durability of the materials.

WIDE Shoe that FITS!!!

Have been on the hunt for some new wide cycling shoes and after perusing multiple reviews and videos decided to give the LAKEs a try ( I have freakishly wide Fred Flintstone style feet). Garret at Lake Cycling (Canada) was more than helpful and "walked" me through their sizing process. Finally found a winner with the CX219s wide. They feel fantastic right out of the box. Cleats on shortly, then to the trainer for their inaugural ride. Can't thank Garret and Lake Cycling Canada enough. Joel in Kenora
