I shopped the mainstream shoe brands and nothing was wide enough. I have wide feet and a bunion so it’s a challenge. I reached out to an expert bike fitter and he said Lake was the only brand to buy. I traced my foot, measured, scanned and sent it to them. The fit was perfect and my feet are thankful. These are not cheap but your feet will love you!

I am very pleased with my chose of Lake Cycling Shoes.
The CX242 Wide has a very wide toe bed which accommodates my bunions.
I was getting severe hot spots under my feet.
Garrett was quick to answer any of my questions. I was very impressed with the turnaround time in responding to my many emails.

I was coming from a running background, I never had problem finding shoes.
But when I started cycling, I had troubles during the last 10 years:
- numbness in middle toe, and hurting badly after 30 min ride
- morton's neuroma (both feet)
After couple professional fit, I was redirect to wide shoes and othopedic insole.
Many dollars later (Wide shoes from german company and orthopedic insoles because of high arch) situation get better (no more neuroma), but numbness was still there but starting later around 90min ride.
With 242 wide, I have this extra-more room in width and I can ride with the basic insoles without any problem.... game changer !
Also, theses shoes are a step above in quality and confort !
