CX/TX Competition Last – With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. The main differences include increased toe pitch & heel lift, a tighter heel & a slightly wider ball girth to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures.

Lake cycling shoes

This was my second pair lake cycling shoes .My first pair was CX242 I was looking for something similar I came across close out sale a pair of CX 238 .Mr, Garrett was nice enough, he took his time and made sure I have the right fitting , I have wide feet. If it was your first time buying lake shoes they will made sure you have the right measurement. Highly recommended this place excellent service .

Amazing

I had previous issues with my shoes - feet were so cramped that I couldn't' walk after 50km of biking. I ordered these after consulting with Garrett. My first ride I rode 100km - no pain. My feet have ample room even after swelling in the heat. I can put my orthotics in for even better support. I can adjust the two boa straps while riding, and I don't' find that the leather is too hot at all. It's been at least 500km of riding since I bought them late in the summer and still feeling great even on the trainer.
Originally, I tried the Lake shoe with the three distinct sections but found the seams very uncomfortable. I exchanged the shoes for the CX238 no problem (I didn't wear or attach cleats as per the return policy) and have been very happy. I plan to buy the mountain bike version of these in the spring.

Excellent fitting shoe! Exactly what I was looking for. Not a fan of the cuts in the tongue as mentioned in other reviews. I like the Boa lacing system as I have on my other road shoes. I think the white I purchased looks better in the photos than in real life.
